The City of Naperville is seeking to retain the services of a qualified and experienced consultant to perform design engineering, permitting and bid phase services for the Nutrient Removal Upgrades & North Plant Aeration Improvements project at Springbrook Water Reclamation Center (SWRC). This project will reconfigure the existing aeration tanks in the North Plant for MUCT biological phosphorus removal, associated submersible mixers, recirculation pumps and replacement of the existing mechanical aeration system with high-speed turbo blowers and fine bubble diffusers. The existing mechanical aerators are 15-40 years old, and sourcing parts for maintenance and repairs is difficult. This project will also add side stream fermentation and a chemical phosphorus removal backup system. This project is in included in the City of Naperville FY 2023 - 2027 CIP. As of February 20, 2023, further details regarding design and construction have not been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change. The content management team will continue to pursue additional details as they become available. All questions concerning the RFP shall be submitted in writing via email to the Procurement Contact no later than five (5) business days prior to the Closing Date and Time. A written response in the form of an addendum may be issued as appropriate. No contact with any other City employee or Selection Team member shall be made during the RFP process.
