As of October 25, 2023, an engineering firm has been selected. Per owner there is no design yet due to demolition issues. The Town of Pound invites all qualified licensed Architectural/Engineering Firms authorized to conduct business in the Commonwealth of Virginia to submit a proposal to conduct the engineering and design work for the Church Street Landslide Remediation Project. The purpose of this RFP is to solicit proposals for the purposes of entering into a contract through competitive negotiations for the professional services of an Architectural/ Engineering firm, authorized to do business in the Commonwealth of Virginia, with experience in creating an engineering and design plan to construct a retaining wall at the Church Street landslide location, to demolish and remove a vacant, publicly owned structure at the base of the landslide site and stabilize a private street at the top of the landslide area. Construction engineering inspection and construction administration, and design services will be included. The Town of Pound reserves the right to reject any and/or all proposals. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
