The last time this building was renovated was 1985 with the addition of the wing that includes Culinary, Cosmetology, Nursing, Carpentry, and Automotive classrooms, kitchen, and labs. In the course of over three decades, all industries within Career and Technical Education have morphed, changed, and improved at a rapid pace. Every year, standards are updated, outdated equipment is replaced, and technology moves the needle forward in how jobs are performed and how we educate and train our students to prepare them for the world that awaits them beyond graduation. The project site will be adjacent to the current Greene County Technical Education Center. This building will be occupied during the time of construction. The project involves the building of a freestanding addition (approximately 10,000 square feet) to the existing Greene County Technical Educational Center. Building work will include the addition as well as major building systems such as HVAC, plumbing and electrical, as well as the addition of a sprinkler system to these areas of work.
