Specification questions during the submittal period must be submitted in writing to Wanda Weaks, Purchasing Agent, at wweaks@fbfl.org. SCOPE OF WORK The Contractor shall supply all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to perform the work under this contract. The work consists of all installation of flooring in the form of 2-1/4"x3/4" river recovered, clear heart pine through auditorium, hallways, foyers, stairs and common areas. Wood grain should be a mix of select and vertical. All work will be performed in accordance with the specifications provided by the City of Fernandina Beach. 1. Obtain all local permits as required. 2. Setup safety in accordance with OSHA standards. 3. Remove all base boards and quarter round moldings. 4. Remove approximately 6,000 sq ft of existing flooring to the subfloor. The existing flooring is a mix of heart pine (auditorium room), tile (2 sets of stairs), and heart pine covered with ceramic tile, which is also covered with a floating laminate (in hallways and common areas). 5. Repair and level subfloor as needed. 6. Install 2 - 1/4"x ¾"river recovered, clear heart pine through auditorium, hallways, foyers, stairs, and common areas. Wood grain should be a mix of select and vertical. 7. New heart pine must be sanded and finished with 3 coats of polyurethane 8. Reinstall baseboards and moldings. Repair and replace baseboards and moldings as necessary and paint to match existing. 9. Flooring installation to come with 1-yr labor warranty 10. City will provide staging area for dumpster, materials, equipment, and parking for workers. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids, to waive irregularities and technicalities, and to request resubmission or to re-advertise for the services
