Greenville County Schools is soliciting architectural design services for additions and renovations at the existing Woodland Elementary School located at 1730 Gibb Shoals Road; Greer, SC 29650. Interested firms must submit a completed Greenville County Schools Application / Qualification Proposal Form. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time. Inquiry Deadline October 25th, 2023, at 9:00 A.M. EDT The District may cancel this solicitation in whole or in part. The District may reject any or all proposals in whole or in part. There is no pre-bid meeting for this solicitation. The construction budget for this project is roughly $20 Million. The awarded proposer(s) is expected to fulfill all of the requirements and duties contained in this solicitation as directed by the Districts Superintendent or his designee. A proposal shall consist of details for the provision and management of the services envisioned in the Specifications, in accordance with the requirements described in this solicitation. The detailed Specifications are provided in a later section. The School District of Greenville County is located in the Upstate of South Carolina with approximately 76,000 students and 10,000 employees. The District was established in 1951. The District consists of more than 100 schools, career centers and other facilities. Proposers can gain more information on the District and its standards by entering the Districts website at www.greenville.k12.sc.us. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the responsibilities listed in this RFP and any future authorized, amended documents related to this solicitation. If the proposer takes any exceptions to any part of the solicitation, include the exceptions with the proposal on a separate page titled Exceptions to Proposal Criteria. Baseline Scope of Work: Constructing a new 300-student classroom addition that is approximately 39,000 SF. The single-story addition is expected to contain twenty-one classrooms, four related arts rooms, multipurpose room, offices and other support spaces. The existing building is approximately 116,000 SF and was constructed in 2002. Renovations in the existing building include, but are not limited to: expanded dining and kitchen area, conversion of existing classrooms into multiple smaller classrooms, renovation to health suite. Renovations will also include upgrades to building-wide systems, including but not limited to: HVAC equipment replacement, fire alarm upgrade and replacement to voice-evacuation system, replacement of all built-up roof materials. Site improvements include expanded parking areas, addition of fire access drives and relocation and expansion of existing playground areas.
