Construction of a New Park located between Richmond Street West and Nelson Street, east of John Street. TIMELINE: Request for Proposals has been issued by the owner for Architectural engineering services. The RFP has been issued to the following pre-qualified five Suppliers following an Request For Supplier Qualifications that closed March 2023. The City invited design teams, led by a Landscape Architect, to submit their qualifications for the design and construction of a park. Based on these RFQ submissions, five shortlisted design teams were announced in June 2023, with the subsequent designs from each team having been submitted late Summer 2023. The pre-qualified teams include; PMA Landscape Architects Ltd. with SLA Partnership O2 Planning and Design Inc. with OLIN DTAH Architects Limited Public City Architecture Inc. and West 8 Urban Design and Landscape Architecture. The detailed design process and the hiring of a construction team is scheduled to take place in 2024, before construction beginning in 2025 and completion by 2026.
