This section covers the demolition of existing valves, equipment and sitework and the salvage of existing materials and equipment as specified herein. Contractor shall be responsible for all work under this section. Contractor shall provide 10 days written notice prior to beginning demolition activities. All structures and facilities of the existing LLWTP which are not to be removed must remain in continuous operation during the work. Demolition and salvage work shall create minimum interference with Owner's operations and minimum inconvenience to Owner. Contractor shall provide protection and safety of all roadways, sidewalks, and all accessible areas during demolition activities. Removal of equipment or facilities shall include removal of all accessories, piping, wiring, supports, associated electrical starters and devices, baseplates and frames, and all other appurtenances, unless otherwise directed. Existing materials and equipment removed, and not indicated to be reused as a part of the Work, shall become Contractor's property unless The Contractor shall comply with all requirements of Chapter 2258, Texas Government Code (as amended), including the payment of not less than the rates determined by the City Council of the City of Denton to be the prevailing wage rates in accordance with Chapter 2258. The then current prevailing wage rates at the time of execution of the Agreement are included in these Contract Documents. Each Proposal for projects over $100,000, must be accompanied by Offeror's Bond made payable to City in an amount of five (5) percent of Offeror's maximum price proposed Proposal Form attached, issued by a surety meeting the requirements of Paragraphs of the General Conditions. City reserves the right to waive irregularities and to accept or reject proposals. Question Deadline 10/06/2023 at 5:00 PM CT
