*As of February 24, 2023, a general contractor has been awarded. Construction is scheduled to begin in March 2023. The project basically consists of the following: Installation of approximately 2,263 LF of OWNER furnished 30" diameter PVC sanitary sewer main including clearing and grubbing, precast concrete manholes, dry bore, (2) aerial creek crossings, and demolition of related sewer infrastructure to be abandoned A Bidder's Bond, Certified or Cashier's Check in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid shall accompany each bid as a guarantee that, if awarded the contract, the bidder will promptly enter into contract with the City of Jacksonville, Texas. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond, Payment Bond and Maintenance Bond as well as proof of statutory worker's compensation insurance. The City of Jacksonville reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Bids may be held by the City of Jacksonville for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award. BIDDER hereby agrees to commence work under this contract on or before a date specified in a written "Notice to Proceed" of the OWNER and to fully complete the project within 210 consecutive calendar days thereafter as stipulated in the specifications. BIDDER further agrees to pay as liquidated damages, the sum of $500.00 for each consecutive calendar day thereafter as hereinafter provided in the General Conditions.
