As of April 13, 2023, the project has been awarded. A timeline for construction has not bene confirmed. Project: LITITZ BOROUGH 2023 PAVING: Project consists of gutter milling of bituminous pavement on South Cedar Street from 2nd Ave to 6th Street, North Cedar Street from Main Street to North Lane and North Lane from Cedar Street to Locust Street. A 2-inch wearing course will be placed on South Cedar Street and North Cedar Street. A 1.5 inch wearing course will be placed on North Lane. This project is estimated to be 14,566 square yards. An estimated 565 linear feet of curbing will also be replaced along these streets as part of this project. All proposals (bids) are to be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check in the amount of 10% of the total bid. The Borough reserves the right to waive any minor informalities, irregularities or defects in the bid; or to reject any or all of the bids. All Bidders are required to establish proof of competency and responsibility, in accordance with 67 PA Code Chapter 457, Regulations Governing Pre-qualification of Prospective Bidders and PennDOT Form 408/2016, as supplemented and amended, Section 102. All Bidders and Subcontractors must be PennDOT pre-qualified. Lititz Borough has determined that this work is subject to the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act ( 43 P. S. 165-1 - 165-17 ) and the Contractor shall pay at least the wage rates as determined in the decision of the Secretary of Labor and Industry and shall comply with the conditions of the act approved August 15, 1961, and the regulations issued thereto, to assure the full and proper payment of the rates.
