Dane Smith Hall #48 Smoke Control Upgrade Project - The University of New Mexico, Albuquerque For further information, please contact: Sr. Contracts Specialist, Andre Nunez at (505) 277-6888 or nunezandre@unm.edu. The University of New Mexico (UNM) requests written proposals from General Contractors to provide construction services for the renovation of Dane Smith Hall (#048) located on the university's central campus. The intent is to update the three-level open atrium smoke control system so that the smoke layer during a fire event remains above a height of 6 feet along the highest occupant floor level. While smoke will be contained within the three-level atrium space by automatic closing corridor fire doors at all three levels. Work shall include, but not be limited to, installing a new roof mounted exhaust fans exhausting smoke from the atrium skylight wells, and make-up air will be introduced through both a roof mounted supply fan and existing first and second level east facing exterior doors. Upgrades to the electrical standby power panelboard, power circuits to new HVAC equipment and door locking hardware will be provided to meet the requirements for fire and life safety components. Contractor shall be responsible for all mechanical HVAC, electrical, and architectural cutting and patching construction activities associated with the smoke control upgrades. The final construction procedures and outcomes shall comply with all applicable building, mechanical, electrical, and fire codes and standards. Question deadline :- 02/14/2023 at 5:00 PM MT
