**As of April 04, 2023, project was awarded to Majors Enterprises Inc., and the awarded amount is $1,297,728.7.** The City of Springfield, Ohio, will receive electronic proposals for 2023 Miscellaneous Water Service Replacement Said work and each bid submitted shall comply strictly to the specifications and instructions to bidders prepared by the Service Department and available on portal for use by the prospective bidder. Said work shall be subjected to the prevailing rate of wages as established by the Davis-Bacon Wage Determination requirements. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any defect in a bid which does not materially alter the contract documents. This project consists of replacing water service lines, including the extraction of the existing corporation stop, in accordance with the provisions of Item 841. This and all further references are to the City of Springfield Construction Specifications and Standard Drawings, current edition. Property services may be installed by open cut or bore method. New services shall utilize the existing tap hole on the existing CIP by extracting the old corporation stop (using approved methods). New taps will not be permitted unless authorized by the Engineer. The new water service shall be installed from the corporation stop to the curb stop and from the proposed meter to the house. If the section from the water main to the curb stop is already cooper, then only the section from the meter to the house shall be replaced The water services being replaced are located along S Fountain Avenue from Monroe Street to John Street. A list of addresses to be performed will be provided by the City prior to construction. A signed work agreement from the property owner must be approved prior to entering onto private property. City will provide signed work agreements to Contractor.
