The corridor project for oversized transport on rue Notre-Dame at the port of Trois-Rivieres consists of redeveloping rue Notre-Dame over a section of +-900m so that it is capable of allowing the passage of low-loader trucks of non-standard transport while respecting specific load parameters and specific templates to meet the operational needs of the APTR. The work required to redevelop Notre-Dame Street consists of widening the street to allow non-standard traffic and redoing its infrastructure to meet the required load criteria. The work to be carried out mainly involves the replacement of underground networks (storm sewers and aqueduct), civil engineering work, reconstruction of roadways, sidewalks and curbs, the construction of concrete blocks for the burial of aerial networks hindering non-standard traffic, as well as the construction of a new access road to the port of Trois-Rivieres including a new gatehouse, security fences, a barrier access, power supply and others. TIMELINE: Request for proposals for engineering services to complete design and monitor construction work is closed. Reference number: 1680227. 30% of design is to be completed by March 29, 2023. 60% of design is to be completed by April 19, 2023. 100% of design is to be completed by May 10, 2023. Tender for general contractor process is scheduled to start on May 12, 2023. Further update in March, 2023.
