Anticipated End: August 2023 AAATA is seeking proposals from qualified vendors for the purchase and installation of a bullet resistant barrier system and renovations to the customer service area at the Ypsilanti Transit Center (abbreviated as YTC). This includes the upper and lower areas of the main service desk area and the 3-paned window. The location of the Work: Ypsilanti Transit Center, 220 Pearl Street, Ypsilanti, MI 48197 Removal and disposal of the current barrier and of the 3-paned window including all material, hardware,supports, debris, etc. o Structurally secured acrylic or other bullet proof barrier system - UL Rated Level 1 o Adequate structural support for the barrier system with reinforcement if needed o The system will allow unobstructed views of the lobby area o Arched style window system for natural voice transmission o Cover the entire counter top including the handicap / ADA access area o 2 Counter cash trays for transaction - See additions below for ADA window o Under desk ballistic protection - UL Rated Level 1 o Prevent physical access on all sides Barrier System to include slotted acrylic louvers above to assist with voice transmission and air flow. o Removal and replacement of the 3-paned window facing the customer bathrooms. Install a clear bullet proof system - UL Rated Level 1. DBE goal of 2.27%
