1. Provide all labor, materials and equipment to remove and replace refractory material and paint Landfill Gas Flare CD#1. 2. Mobilize and install scaffolding inside the flare enclosure and outside the flare as necessary (County will remove the louvers and gas burners prior to the Successful Bidder arriving at job site). The Successful Bidder shall follow OSHA standards for use of scaffolding. 3. Remove the existing refractory and all Inconel studs and clips from inside flare enclosure. 4. Place all waste into roll-off container. County staff will supply, remove, empty, and return container to site as necessary. 5. Inspect the flare enclosure for areas of burn-through and any areas that appear to need reinforcement. Weld quarter inch carbon steel to the interior wall to repair weak or burn- through areas. The areas that need reinforcement, if any, must be approved by the County. 6. Weld on 601 Inconel studs and clips, or equivalent, to attach blankets. Studs shall be equally spaced in a pattern of a minimum of 1.9 units per square foot. Studs shall be at least 25 mm longer than the combined thickness of the two blankets. 7. Install one 2-inch layer of #6 Unifrax Durablanket-S, or equivalent, and 1-inch layer of #8 Unifrax Durablanket-S or equivalent. DEADLINE FOR QUESTIONS: JULY 10, 2023 AT 5:00 P.M. (local time).
