Brown County Commissioners/Highway Department, Brown County, Indiana, hereinafter referred to as the Owner, will be accepting sealed bid proposals on the following items: 2022-2 Roadway Improvements - Hot Mix Asphalt Paving - "Road and Bridge Matching Grant" fund Projects. Bids shall be submitted on the forms in the Specifications, along with the Non-Collusion Affidavit. A bid bond or certified check (10% of total bid) shall accompany each Bid. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope to the County Auditor office and display the name of the Contractor and marked as "2022-2 Roadway Improvements Bid". The successful bidder(s) shall furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the contract amount with an approved surety company with the contracts. Said bonds to remain in full force and effect for a period of 90 days after the date of final ac ceptance of the work by the County. Construction of these projects will be in 2023 - a Notice to Proceed will be issued upon receipt of the funds from the State. Contract(s) will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder(s) on or after Jan. 18, 2023, with pending contract approval from the County and INDOT. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Proposals or to accept any Proposal and to waive any and all informalities in the bid process.
