Arias Job No. 2022-1183 The City of San Antonio (City) and the San Antonio Airport System (SAAS) are seeking an experienced Design-Build firm with demonstrated technical capabilities and aviation experience to provide Design and Construction services for the Terminal A Ground Loading Facility and Vehicle Gate 20 Relocation. The DB firm will be integrated into a city-led team as part of a progressive design build delivery method that will be a blend of City and Consultant staff. The scale, concurrent projects, and operational complexity will require the Design Builder to provide airport-specific expertise and specialty technical and architectural services for the project to be successful. The deadline to ask questions is 1/25/2023 4:00 PM CST The Bridging Documents include Sensitive Security Information which will not be made available on CivCast. These documents will be made available to the interested Respondent via email once the Department of Homeland Security Non-Disclosure Agreement on CivCast is signed and returned to David Rios, Procurement Manager, at David.Rios@sanantonio.gov along with the business name and tax ID number, by no later than close of business on Monday, January 16, 2023. A signed Department of Homeland Security Non-Disclosure Agreement will be required in order to receive the set of Secured Documents. DBE (13%) The purpose of this project is for the construction of a dedicated ground load terminal facility south of Terminal A. This facility will support five aircraft ground board operations, while emphasizing low-cost construction methods and the ability to be delivered within the required time frame. All gates within the Ground Loading Facility (GLF) will be common use, allowing for maximum flexibility and capacity within the facility. The ground load facility will connect to Terminal A in the vicinity of existing Gate A1. The facility is a Pre-Engineered Metal Building (PEMB) of approximately 37,000 SF and provides a two story passenger connector lobby and concession shell area at Terminal A departure level, along with 3 hold rooms, restrooms, concession shell space, Federal Inspection Station (FIS) corridor, and/or other passenger amenity uses at the Concourse Level. This provides passengers with a higher International Air Transport Association (IATA) Level of Service. The project will include electrical recharge infrastructure to support electrical Airline Ground Service Equipment (GSE). The Terminal A Ground Loading Facility (hereafter referred to as "Package 1"). Additive Alternates: o Design and construction of landside landscaping to include a Low Impact Development bioswale or bio retention feature o Larger Store Front Windows Deductive Alternates: o Design and construction of the upper-level concession shell area of approximately 5,500 sf o Solar Shading Devices for building facade o FIS restroom and associated plumbing appurtenances. o Clearstory Glazing o Decorative Banner support system for Facade Existing Vehicle Gate 20 will be relocated as part of this project. The new Vehicle gate shall be completed and operational prior to GLF construction commencement. Vehicle Gate 20 relocation (hereafter will be referred to as "Package 2") shall be relocated as shown in the bridging documents. Early work packages will be developed as follows: o Package 1A - Civil Demolition. o Package 1B - Civil Utility Relocation o Package 2 - Relocation of Vehicle Gate 20 The total estimated project amount is a not to exceed budget of $43 Million.
