The Monongalia County Board of Education is seeking qualified contractors for the North Elementary School Connector Project, Morgantown, WV, Monongalia County, West Virginia. The work shall consist of construction of new single story enclosed hallway and two story elevator shaft and stair lobby. There is one Add Alternate for the purchase and installation of an electric traction elevator. These activities are to be performed during the summer break of 2023.. West Virginia Code 21-11-2 requires all Bidders desiring to perform contractual work in West Virginia must be duly licensed. All prospective Bidders shall be licensed prior to submitting their bid and shall include their contractors license number on their bid in accordance with the requirements of West Virginia Code 21-11-11. All Bidders will be required to pay applicable B&O taxes. Each Bid shall be accompanied by security in the form of a certified check or Bid Bond furnished by a solvent surety company authorized to do business in the State of West Virginia payable to the Monongalia County Board of Education in the amount of not less than five percent (5 %) of the total bid. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond, both in the amount of at least one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price. The Monongalia County Board of Education reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality in the bidding. Questions will be received until 12:00 Noon on January 10th, 2023.
