The major items of work include grind and overlay the Lake Tapps Parkway/Sumner-Tapps Highway E corridor from the intersection of Lake Tapps Parkway with Lakeland Hills Way to the intersection of Sumner-Tapps Highway E with 16th Street E (the Auburn City limit) with all grind and overlay limits to match existing new paving. Portions of the corridor include a center two-way left-turn lane which does not require preservation and is omitted from the grind and overlay. Upgrades to ADA curb ramps and pedestrian push buttons, and replacement of vehicle detection at signalized intersections are included in the scope of the project. The proposed bid range for the project is from $1,000,000 to $1,250,000. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) requirements on this project are 15% certified DBE. All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in cash, certified check, cashier's check or proposal bond (surety bond) in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such Contract and furnish satisfactory Contract Bond within the time stated in the Bid Documents, the bid deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Auburn.
