All bids must be accompanied by a compliant bid bond representing 10% of the total amount of the bid, excluding all applicable taxes, valid for a period of 45 days from the bid opening date, failing which the bid will be automatically rejected.This bid bond must be submitted on the mandatory form APPENDIX 4.01 A or APPENDIX 4.01 B of the bid form.It must be exchanged at the signing of the contract, if applicable, for a performance bond and a surety bond for guarantees, materials and services, again in accordance with the mandatory forms appended to the General Conditions.The amount of each of these latter bonds will correspond to 50% of the contract price.
