The County of Sacramento (County) is the owner and operator of Sacramento International Airport, hereinafter referred to as "SMF". The Sacramento County Department of Airports (Department) will be embarking on a large capital program to improve operational function of terminal areas and accommodate increased gate operations. The addition of a new pedestrian walkway connecting Terminal B to Concourse B and Terminal/Concourse expansions are examples of several projects that may become part of the program of services. The Department is soliciting Statements of Qualifications and Experience (SOQ&E) from qualified Architectural and Engineering Designer of Record firms (DOR) to provide design and technical support services during construction for the project, which the Department intends to use Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) as the delivery method. The DOR will be providing the following basic design services: A. Architectural B. Civil C. Structural D. Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing E. Airfield design Additional consulting services may be needed depending on the scope of work for each project and can include the following: A. Fire Protection B. Low Voltage Systems (Telecommunication, Closed Circuit Television, Security and the like) C. Signage and Wayfinding Conveying Systems (Elevators, Escalators, Moving Sidewalks) D. Baggage Make Up and Baggage Handling Systems E. Passenger Loading Bridges Specific project scopes will include design services, technical and coordination support services during solicitation and selection of the CMAR, collaboration and coordination with CMAR during design and during CMAR's pre-construction services, and contract administration and technical support during construction. Separate task orders identifying detailed scope of work will be created for each of the major projects described further in this document. As of October 27, 2023, this project is in schematic design. A construction manager at risk has been selected. Construction completion is anticipated for late 2025.
