DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Contractor shall replace the existing water source heat pumps, local controls,and portions of the duct and piping connections. Provide new wall protection boards in student rooms with associated wall base replacement and patching and painting adjacent walls as needed. Hedrick Summit is an undergraduate student residential high-rise facility located in the NorthWest quadrant of the UCLA campus. The facility includes 521 student rooms and 3 faculty apartments on 9 total levels; with additional community support space, maintenance and mechanical space and housekeeping on the ground level. The Work will be divided into two phases: Phase 0 - Submittals and Procurement Phase 1 - Construction The University currently anticipates that the on-site construction period (Phase 1) to begin no sooner than June 17, 2024 and to be completed no later than August 29, 2024. The work will be performed when the building is unoccupied, during Summer 2024.
