The Project includes the following Work: Approximately 4,759 L.F. of 20" Class 350 Ductile Iron Water Line, 9,398 L.F. of 6" Class 350 Ductile Iron Water Line, 1,369 L.F. of 4" Class 350 Ductile Iron Water Line, 367 L.F. of 2" Class 250 PVC Water Line, 18 Fire Hydrant Assemblies, and various appurtenances. Bids are requested for the following Contract: RURAL DEVELOPMENT WATER LINE REPLACEMENT - PROJECTS B, W, AND Y NORMAN RD, CLINTON HWY, OLD CLINTON HWY, STROLLING LANE, SHEPARD LANE, STANLEY ROAD, CAUSBY ROAD AND WELLS ROAD RGC Project No. 19802 The Project has an expected duration of 300 days. Instructions to Bidders All Bidders must be licensed Contractors as required by the Contractor's Licensing Act of 1994 (Latest revisions). Bidder's name, address, license number, license limit, expiration date and that part of classification which applies to the Project(s) and the name, address and licensing information for Plumbing, HVAC and Electrical Contractors must be on the sealed envelope containing the executed Bid Proposal. All required items must be listed, with any item(s) that are not applicable to the Project in accordance with the Regulations to be marked "not applicable to this project." In compliance with the act, sealed envelopes will not be opened unless all required information is properly displayed. For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. American Iron and Steel Section 746 of Title VII of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2017 (Division A - Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2017) and subsequent statutes mandating domestic preference applies an American Iron and Steel requirement to this project. All iron and steel products used in this project must be produced in the United States. The term "iron and steel products" means the following products made primarily of iron or steel: lined or unlined pipes and fittings, manhole covers and other municipal castings, hydrants, tanks, flanges, pipe clamps and restraints, valves, structural steel, reinforced precast concrete, and Construction Materials. Bidder shall submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents to Engineer in writing.
