Bidders are required to submit with their bid, a bid guaranty of not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid amount, in the form of cash, certified check, or bank cashiers check made payable to Washington Township, or a bond with approved surety. Only bonds from companies licensed to do business in the State where the Owner is located will be accepted and the bond shall so state the same. In addition, proof of PennDOT Prequalification (with Work Class Codes), a Public Works Employment Verification Form, and an Anti-Collusion Affidavit must be completed and submitted with the bid. Bids must be submitted unconditionally. No bidder may withdraw bid within 60 days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids. The Contractor must familiarize himself with the site prior to submitting a bid. Washington Township reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive technical mistakes in the Submission of the Bid Forms. In the event of any inconsistency, the Project Sponsors Contract Documents shall control unless such interpretation would lead to an absurdity or make the Project Sponsors Contract Documents ineffective to accomplish their purpose.
