Per TGC 2269.101, 2166.004 and 437.054; The Texas Military Department (TMD) is seeking bids from qualified vendors to perform major maintenance services to the Texas Army National Guard (TXARNG) Kelly Field Readiness Center, including mitigation of life safety and code-related deficiencies while simultaneously improving mission capabilities. Interior building improvements include architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural, fire suppression, fire alarm, IT/telecom trades, and hazardous materials abatement. Exterior building improvements include a new egress stairway, roof mechanical penetrations, new glazing, new blast resistant glazing, civil site modifications, concrete pavement, concrete ramp & walkways, and exterior person and equipment lifts, new water fire suppression line, new sanitary sewer line, new domestic water line, new building signage and new electrical primary. The building is four stories and the square footage is 31,000 SF. The existing building was designed in 1939 and work will need to be coordinated with the Texas Historical Commission, complying with the Secretary of Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation (Department of Interior regulations, 36, CFR 67). The total estimated cost of this project is $7,900,000.00.
