The work to be performed consists in general, but not limited to, rough & fine grading, construction of four (4) softball fields with LED sports lighting, concrete sidewalks, installation of prefabricated concession & restroom building & fabric shade sails, storm drain & sewer improvements, site lighting, electrical system including switch gear & conduits etc., installation of irrigation system & landscaping, & a (90) day maintenance period. The project consists of a Base Bid & three (3) Additive Alternates (Add Alts); therefore, the Contractor shall submit bids for the Base Bid & all three (3) Additive Alternates. However, the City of Bakersfield will determine the lowest bidder based on the Base Bid only. The Add Alts include a parking lot & roadway with HMA pavement, additional landscaping & walkways, & the installation of a prefabricated railcar pedestrian bridge. Additive Alternates may or may not be selected depending on funding availability. This is a Re-Bid. Changes include making the perimeter landscaping Add Alt #2 & the prefabricated railcar pedestrian bridge as Add Alt #3 and adding working days to complete the Base Bid and Additive Alternates. Contractor shall use only plans, specifications, and any other bid documents which are labeled as "Re-Bid" for bidding and construction purposes.
