This project is being let using a new single trade bidding and contracting process. When 85% or more of the construction cost of a project could be completed by a Single Trade Contractor (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or fire protection), the Department may bid and contract all work of that construction project directly to a Single Trade Contractor. The State will enter into a single contract with the lowest, qualified, responsible, certified single trade MEP contractor. Single trade MEP contractors may bid on single trade projects up to their current division of work certification level for that trade. All Work for this project will be awarded to a single trade MECHANICAL contractor. Bidders shall submit a Single Base Bid for all Work In general the work consists of the replacement of two 1,010 MBH natural gas fired hot water boilers with three 500 MBH natural gas hot water boilers. Work shall include all new pumps, piping, valves, components, and DDC controls necessary for the replacement. Bid Guarantee in the amount of 10% of the Bid must accompany each bid submitted. A bank certified check or a cashier's 21 check may accompany each bid as a guarantee pursuant to Wis. Stat Failure to enter into the contract with the state (including failure to obtain certificate of insurance and separate 100% performance and 100% payment bonds) may result in forfeiture of the Bid Bond. The company issuing the Bonds must be licensed to do business in Wisconsin. Estimate Construction Cost $619,300 Bidders shall bring inadequacies, omissions or conflicts to the Architect/Engineer's attention at least ten (10) days before the date set for bid opening Question Deadline 02/10/2024
