Scope to include: athletic training area; sprint lanes; long jump pit; pole vault and high-jump areas; a multi-purpose room; offices; storage space and locker rooms; strength and conditioning areas; gender-neutral and accessible washrooms; elevators; administrative space; and a first-aid room. Location is next to the Aquarena on Westerland Road. TIMELINE: Project design is well underway. Site servicing has begun. Some construction works related to the outdoor facilities is likely to begin in 2023. Building construction is not anticipated until 2024. Further update may be available early 2024. Project costs will be shared between the federal, provincial and municipal governments.
