For furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary to complete the project known as John Gray Water Main Replacement Bids must be submitted on the forms in the Contract Documents and other conditions therein described must be met. Each bid must be enclosed in a sealed envelope, clearly marked JOHN GRAY ROAD WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT on the face of the envelope and display the name and address of the bidder. Each bid must be accompanied by the following completed documents: Bid Bond (Certified Check or Cashiers Check for ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid submitted unless otherwise specified) Non-Collusion Affidavit Affidavit of Non-Delinquency of Personal Property Taxes Bids cannot be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days following the bid opening. The City anticipates the contract will be awarded and the notice to proceed will be issued in January 2023. All work must be completed within ONE HUNDRED and EIGHTY (180) calendar days after the issuance of Notice to Proceed. The City of Fairfield reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to correct or waive irregularities in bids should it be deemed in the best interest of the City of Fairfield, Ohio to do so. SUMMARY OF WORK 1.1 This project consists of a one-hundred and eighty (180) day contract covering water main improvements for the City of Fairfield (Owner), Ohio and shall not necessarily be limited to the items and/or quantities set forth in this proposal. Contract to include but is not limited to: abandonment of existing water main(s) on John Gray Road; installation of ~4,400 LF of new 12" class 53 ductile iron pipe with Poly-wrap; installation of ~150 LF of new 8" class 53 ductile iron pipe with Poly-wrap; reconnection of existing water mains to new water mains; installation of new gate valves and fire hydrants; installation and/or re-connection of service lines and vaults; pavement and surface restoration as required; and all other associated work shown on the Construction Plans and Notes and Specifications (attached). 1.2 Estimated costs of the water main improvements are $1,380,000.00
