A pre-bid meeting will not be held for this project. All questions and clarifications regarding this bid should be submitted only via email and directed to the City's purchasing department at purchasing@lawrenceks.org. The bid number shall be referenced in the email subject line. The questions deadline is October 8, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. Central Time Zone. All questions will receive an official written response from the City and will become addenda to this Bid. The work to be done under this contract includes: Reconstruction of lowa Street from 23rd Street to Irving Hill Road Bridge with approximately 27,500 square yards of concrete pavement. Also included are sidewalks, bored utility crossings, guardrails, storm sewers, water main, lighting, etc. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond no less than 5% of the amount of the bid made payable to the City of Lawrence, retained by the City Commission until a contract for the project shall have been awarded. Checks will be returned to the unsuccessful bidders when their bids are rejected. The City Commission reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive informalities. Project Scope: Reconstruction of Iowa Street from 23rd Street to Irving Hill Road Bridge including sidewalks, cased crossings, guardrails, storm sewers, water main and other utilities. Coordination: Contractor shall coordinate locations of private utilities with AT&T, BHE, Lumen and Midco. Schedule and Phasing: Work shall be completed as follows. This shall include completion of all punch list items and final cleanup. Contractor shall plan work accordingly and coordinate with the project inspector to identify punch list items and complete corrections within the required timeframe. Project shall consist of multiple phases, including all necessary temporary traffic control, as outlined in project drawing sheet 127 through 142. Also refer to project specific notes on temporary traffic control plans. Anticipated project start date is January 2, 2025 Substantial Completion date is October 30, 2025 Final Completion date is November 20, 2025
