No contract will be awarded if the lowest and best Base Bid is in excess of 10% above the Engineers pre-bid estimate of cost, which is $231,000 No pre-bid meeting will be held for this project. Each Bidder is required to furnish with its proposal a Bid Guaranty in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Such Bid Guaranty shall be in the form of either a bond, secured by a corporate surety, in the amount of 100% of the bid amount; OR a certified check, cashier's check, or irrevocable letter of credit, made payable to the District, in an amount equal to 10% of the Bid amount. All corporate sureties shall be licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. Each Proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the Proposal and all persons interested therein. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable, use Ohio products, materials, services and labor in the implementation of this project. This is an Ohio prevailing wage project. This project is fully-funded by the District. The project is described as follows: Install 560' of 12" & 580' of 6" water main and appurtenances at Morman Rd & Stahlheber Rd, including 4 connections to existing mains, 2 open-cut road crossings, and removal of a PRV vault in Hanover Township, Butler County, Ohio. The District will award one or more contracts, whichever is in the best interest of the District. The Southwest Regional Water District reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any nonmaterial irregularities in the bidding. Contractor may begin installation of the northern, western, and southern legs of the project upon receipt of materials. Installation of the eastern leg, however, will be limited to the first 150'+- east of the 12"x6" tee, until the District completes the abandonment of the existing 4" water main that is along Morman Road.
