LLM22044 RPCC Building #1 Boiler Replacement to include Remediation of hazardous materials; Removal of existing Saskatoon Boiler Company 3000KW Boilers (2) and associated equipment and piping; Removal of off-line boiler and associated equipment and piping. This boiler provided domestic hot water to kitchen and laundry and no longer utilized; and Complete demolition of chimney stacks and piping. The main boiler project will take precedents over the re-life project with expected completion over a period of two fiscal years of construction. CSS23003 Building #1 Re-Life. The objective of this project is to extend the life of the aging building constructed in the 1960s by developing designs for a phased construction plan. The construction plan will address building structural issues, building envelope, electrical and mechanical services past life expectancy. Included is Building code related issues that were not completed in previous projects. TIMELINE: Design is underway. All design phases including pre and post construction will be completed under one agreement for the Boiler Replacement and one agreement for Re-Life. Construction documents for the two projects will only be combined to allow for simultaneous construction in the same area to allow for desired synergies. Multiple tender packages will be required due to phasing and funding. Tender and construction schedules may be confirmed fall/late 2023. Estimated construction costs: LLM22044 Building #1 Boiler Replacement is $2.2 million. CSS23003 - Building #1 Re- Life $11 million.
