The Municipality of the District of Guysborough is seeking Tender Proposals for the Sidewalk Extension Project. The work under this project shall generally comprise but not necessarily be limited to provision of all labour, materials and equipment for this curb/gutter, sidewalk, storm sewer & culvert extensions project on Main Street, Queen Street, New Road and Green Street in Guysborough. Work included under this project consists of approximately 1300 metres of storm sewer, 25 new catch basins, 8 new manholes and adjustment of existing structures, 2650 metres of curb & gutter, 2620 metres of sidewalk, asphalt milling, asphalt resurfacing, infilling ditches, placement of topsoil & sod as well as some hydroseeding followed by extension of culverts along Main Street, Queen Street, New Road and Green Street in Guysborough. The Municipality of the District of Guysborough reserves the right to reject any or all tenders, not necessarily accept the lowest tender, or to accept any tender which it may consider to be in the best interest of the Municipality. The Municipality also reserves the right to waive formality, informality, or technicality in any tender. Each tender must be accompanied by a certified cheque in the amount of 10 % of the bid amount, or a Bid Bond in the amount of 10 % of the bid amount and a Consent of Surety for the required fifty percent (50%) Performance Bond and fifty percent (50%) Labour and Materials Bond. In lieu of bonding the Municipality will accept a certified cheque in the amount of 20% of the bid amount as project securities.
