Chatham County is issuing this Request for Bids (RFB) to qualified companies (Respondents) for the design and installation of a rooftop solar photovoltaic system (System) for onsite energy generation at the Chatham County Agriculture and Conference Center (CCACC), located at 1192 US 64 Business West, Pittsboro, NC. Bids will be reviewed, and a contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible, responsive bidder. Chatham County has already applied to Duke Energy Progress for interconnection of a solar system for the CCACC. The interconnection of a solar system of up to 154 kW AC has been approved by Duke. Duke Energy Progress has also reserved a non-profit solar rebate for this project. In order to receive the rebate, the project must be completed before the rebate expires in May 2023.
