The Owner is seeking to retain a Design-Builder for the design and construction for a pedestrian and cycling overpass named City of Colwood Galloping Goose Overpass. The Project Scope consists of the construction of a pedestrian overpass which will be for pedestrian, cycling and other active transportation activities. The newly constructed overpass will be an addition/continuation of the Galloping Goose Regional Trail and will cross over approximately five lanes of Sooke Road (Island Highway).There should be no center supports – only buttresses at either end. Access on the existing trail should be continuous and without detour. The estimated construction budget is $4,000,000-$4,500,000 including construction contingency [cash allowances] and all site works.
