Charter Township of Clinton’s Clerk’s Office received and processed one (1) bid for the above referenced project. After bid review by our office, an error in the “Bonds, Insurance and Initial Set-Up Expense (3% Max.)” bid item was found and corrected. The final bid tabulation showing this correction and the originally submitted bid information is included with this letter. The bidder for this project is Birmingham Sealcoat, Inc. of Oxford, Michigan in the corrected total bid amount of $57,200.00. Upon review and deliberation with Department of Public Services staff, it was decided to reject the bid. Based on these circumstances, we recommend the Clinton Township Board of Trustees rejects the bid. BONDS AND INSURANCE The accepted bidder shall be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond and Labor and Material Bond in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price. The cost of the bonds will be paid by the accepted bidder. WITHDRAWAL OF BIDS No Bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) calendar days after receipt of bids.
