The Project is generally described as follows: A. SAFETY - Repair spalled concrete, replace or modify existing handrails and guard rails as noted on the contract documents, install ADA accessible concrete ramp. B. ACCESSIBILITY -Demolish existing concrete as noted in the contract documents and install new concrete foundation, ramp, and associated handrails and guardrails. Actual construction on the Project can begin on May 28, 2024. The substantial completion date for all work is August 1, 2024. Furthermore, Contractor has 14 calendar days from the established Substantial Completion Date to complete all punchout items and 28 calendar days from the established Substantial Completion Date to submit all required closeout documents. Successful proposers shall pay at least the minimum wage rate set forth in the Prevailing Wage Rate Schedule ascertained and adopted by the Board of Trustees to all employees and subcontractors performing work on this project and in no event shall the successful proposer pay less than the rate adopted. See the Prevailing Wage Rate Schedule attached hereto as Exhibit 1. A Bid Bond, Cashiers Check, or Certified Check payable to the Killeen ISD, for no less than 5% of the largest possible total (include the cost of alternates listed) for the proposal listed. Owner of liquidated damages in the amount of $250 per day that is required by the Contractor to close out the project after the allotted time. Time is of the essence. All proposals must be based upon an assumption of Substantial/Final Completion by this date. Permits, Licenses, and Certificates: For Owner records, submit copies of permits, licenses, certifications, inspection reports, releases, jurisdictional settlements, notices, receipts for fee payments, judgments, correspondence, records, and similar documents, established for compliance with standards and regulations bearing on performance of the Work. The District reserves the right to waive any formality and to reject any or all proposals.
