The project entails repair of approximately 1,600 square feet of the riverbank with a Fabriform(R) revetment system and installing an electrical conduit from a nearby junction box to a new camera mounting pole. The project is located on CSX Corporation property and work on the railway property shall be limited to eight (8) consecutive weeks, please refer to the Technical Specifications for more details. Construction hours will be Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. The City anticipates 56 days (8 weeks) for on-site construction with a mobilization Notice to Proceed once the contract is finalized and an on-site Notice to Proceed once the Contractor is ready to commence on-site construction. Please note on Sheet No. 3: "The contractor shall not conduct any of the authorized instream work between April 15 through June 15 and August 15 through September 30, to minimize adverse impacts on threatened and endangered mussels." All requests for clarification of or questions regarding this Advertisement for Bids or for additional information must be made in writing to Will Ruberry, william.ruberry@lynchburgva.gov and received by 2:00 PM, September 18, 2024.
