As of September 20,2022, project was awarded to M.R. Dirt amounting $59,450.85. The Project involves the installation of approximately 175 linear feet of 15" and 18" smooth-lined corrugated stormwater piping, together with precast concrete inlets, a flow reduction structure, a rock outfall into Eagles Mere Lake, and all associated trail surface, pavement, stabilized, and nonstabilized trench restoration at the north outlet of Clay Avenue into the Eagles Mere Lake recreation area. Bidders are advised that all work under this contract must be completed by December 17, 2022. No faxed bids will be accepted. Bidders are advised that the Eagles Mere Borough Building does not receive postal mail at its street address and overnight delivery to that address is not guaranteed. Bidders are responsible for the timely submission of their bid to the Borough Building by the bid due date and time. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of the Owner or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (at par value), or a satisfactory Bid Bond on the form provided, executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety (Surety companies must appear on the Treasury Department's most current list (Circular 570 as amended) and be authorized to transact business in the State of Pennsylvania), in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total of the Bid shall be submitted with each bid to guarantee the Bidder's entrance into a contract if given the award. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price on the forms provided, with a surety company listed on the Treasury Department's most current list (Circular 570 as amended). Bids will remain subject to acceptance for 60 days after the Bid opening; PROVIDED, however, that if the award of the contract is delayed by a required approval of another government agency, the sale of bonds or the award of the grant or grants, the Owner shall reject all bids or award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder within 120 days of the date of the BID opening, and no bidder may withdraw his bid before the expiration of such 120-day period or for such longer period of time that Bidder may agree to in writing upon request of Owner. Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage rates will apply to this contract. The contract documents contain requirements addressing prevailing labor wage rates, labor standards, nondiscrimination in hiring practices and related matters. A $10.00 fee for postage and handling will be required for Contract Documents that are mailed to bidders.
