The work for this project consists of removal of existing timber piles and installation of steel piles and caps along Pier 2 East, installation of steel piles and caps along Pier 1 West, and removal and installation of steel piles and bird caps within the West Mooring Basin. No bids will be accepted after this time. Questions may be submitted via e-mail to mmcgrath@portofastoria.com. All bidders shall comply with the provision of ORS 279C.800-870 (workers on public works to be paid not less than prevailing rate of wage for projects over $50,000). Contractors submitting bids are required to be registered with the Construction Contractor's Board. Bid security in the amount of 10% of the bid must accompany each bid in accordance with the instructions to bidders. The owner reserves the right to reject any bid not in compliance with all prescribed public bidding procedures and requirements, and may reject, for good cause, any or all bids upon a finding of the owner that it is in the public interest to do so in accordance with ORS 279C.395. The owner reserves the right to waive any bid irregularities or informalities. The project in-water work schedules shall be determined by contractor availability and respective in water work windows as defined in the Port's maintenance permits. All work listed in this ITB is to be completed by February 28, 2023.
