This contract (the "Contract") is made by and between, (the "Contractor") and the State of Connecticut, acting by its Department of Administrative Services ("DAS") in accordance with sections 4a-2 and 4a-51 of the Connecticut General Statutes. This Solicitation has been reserved for participation by only Connecticut DAS - certified small (SBE), minority (MBE) businesses. Respondents are required to provide a copy of the company's current certification certificate. Responses received by companies that are not certified will be rejected. This Solicitation contains a mandatory pre-Solicitation meeting/site-visit requirement. Contractors who are interested in responding to this Solicitation must attend the meeting/site visit at the specified. Late Arrivals (10 minutes or more) will not be given credit for attendance nor allowed to participate in the Solicitation process. Vendors will not be admitted to state buildings without a valid photo ID. Failure to attend this meeting will result in the rejection of your response. DAS, in its sole discretion, may extend this Contract for additional terms beyond the Term, prior to Termination or expiration, one or more times for a combined total period not to exceed the complete length of the original Term. Contractors shall comply with all provisions of section 31-57f of Connecticut General Statues, Standard Wage Rates for Certain Service Workers and shall pay wages in accordance with the current wage rates provided by the Connecticut Department of Labor. Information regarding this Statute and how and when it applies can be obtained from Connecticut Department of Labor's website. Questions concerning the provisions and implementation of this act should be referred to the Connecticut Department of Labor, Wage and Workplace Standards Division, 200 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield, CT 06109-1114 (860) 263-6790 or the designated representative. The Contractor and Contractor Parties shall submit to and incur the cost of fingerprint supported federal and state criminal history background checks as may be required by the State, the State of Connecticut Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection, or as provided for in any State document that governs procedures for background checks. The Contractor and Contractor Parties shall cooperate fully as necessary or reasonably requested with the State and its agents in connection with such background checks.
