The project consists of installing (1) 100,000-gallon storage tank, including a Water Treatment Plant Generator. This project also includes electrical and control upgrades and installation of a new chlorination system in accordance with the contract documents, technical specifications, and plans. A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid [for those contracts that exceed $100,000]. A certified check or bank draft payable to the County of Kleberg or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. The project to be constructed will be financed with assistance from the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) under the U.S. Department of Housing and Texas Urban Development Community Development Block Grant (TxCDBG) program is subject to all applicable Federal and State laws and regulations. Attention is called to the fact that not less than, the federally determined prevailing Davis-Bacon and Related Acts wage rate, as issued by the Department of Labor and contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. In addition, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or national origin. Adherence to the County of Kleberg Section 3 Policy is required for all contracts and subcontracts. All contractors and subcontractors must be cleared (not suspended or debarred) prior to any formal action authorizing the award of a contract to the contractor. Minority Business Enterprises, Small Business Enterprises, Women Business Enterprises, Section 3 Businesses, and labor surplus area firms are encouraged to submit bids. The County of Kleberg reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by the County of Kleberg for a period not to exceed 90 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award The deadline to ask questions is 8/29/2022 5:00 PM CST The work to be performed under this contract shall commence within the time stipulated by the City/County in the Notice to Proceed, and shall be fully completed within 270 calendar days thereafter Major items of work include the following: This project consists of the replacement of 1 stormwater pump (electrical service, panels, gear box, motor, etc.) and one pump building at Maddox Pump Station (Pump Station #1), the replacement of 1 stormwater pump (gear drive, motor, etc.) at Goodnight Pump Station (Pump Station #2) in accordance to the contract documents, specifications, and plans. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, services and supervision necessary to perform all the work as described in the Proposal and shall deliver the work complete in all respects and in full accordance with the Contract Documents. All incidental services and materials which may be reasonably inferred as necessary to accomplish the intended end result shall be provided by the Contractor whether or not specifically shown on the Drawings or itemized in the Specifications. All questions must be answered and the data given must be clear and comprehensive. Thisstatement must be notarized. If necessary, questions may be answered on separate attached sheets. The Bidder may submit any additional information he desires.
