Camden County Board of Commissioners solicits proposals for the roofing, renovation and interior build out of the two existing and connected County owned buildings located at 135 North Gross Road, Kingsland, GA 31548. When complete, the renovated Resiliency Services building and the built out Resiliency Operations Building together will serve as the Camden County Community Resiliency Center (CRC). This project is covered under the requirements of Section 3 of the HUD Act of 1968. This project must ensure that employment and other economic opportunities generated by CDBG funds shall, to the greatest extent feasible, and consistent with federal, state and local laws and regulations, be directed toward low and very low-income persons, particularly those who are recipients of government funding for housing, and to business concerns which provide economic opportunities to low and very low-income persons in coordination with the Section 3 provisions of the Housing and Urban Redevelopment Act of 1968 - 24 CFR Part 135. Fair Housing This project must affirmatively further fair housing and steps must be taken to analyze impediments to fair housing choice in Camden County and take steps to overcome any identified impediments in efforts to promote fair housing for county residents. Section 504 This project must ensure that no qualified individual with a disability shall, by reason of such disability, be excluded from the participation in or be denied the benefits of services, programs, or activities of a public entity, or be subjected to discrimination of any such entity as prescribed by law in the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, 29 U.S.C. 794, as amended. Generally, this project consists of the roofing, renovation, and interior build- out of the two existing County- owned buildings at 135 North Gross Road, Kingsland, Georgia, and includes providing a conduit and pull- station pathway between these buildings and the adjacent Radio Tower compound at 125 North Gross Road. RESILIENCY OPERATIONS BUILDING In accordance with the LS3P Construction Documents (Plans and Specifications) dated July 1, 2022, the scope of work converts the approximate 7,500 SF interior of the existing County Storage Building into the new Resiliency Operations Center, and refreshes the approximate 7,500 SF of covered Parking Area. The scope of work shall generally include, but not be limited to, replacing the existing Roof (above both enclosed and exterior spaces), enhancing existing Exterior Finishes, selective demolition of existing Components (Lighting, Lighting Distribution, Power, Power Distribution, Concrete Flooring, Fans, Unit Heaters, Generator, etc.), constructing new Building Storefront Entrances, constructing new Building Interiors (Partitions, Ceilings, Doors/ Frames/ Hardware, Millwork, etc.). installing new Interior Finishes, and constructing new Building Systems (Fire Protection, Plumbing, Mechanical, Electrical, etc.). Scope of work shall include the new Generator beneath the covered Parking Area. 2. RESILIENCY SERVICES BUILDING In accordance with the LS3P Construction Documents (Plans and Specifications) dated July 1, 2022, the scope of work converts the approximate 9,500 SF interior of the existing County Office Building into the new Resiliency Services Center. The scope of work shall generally include, but not be limited to, repairing damaged portions of the existing Roof, enhancing existing Exterior Finishes, selective demolition of existing Components (Ceilings, Lighting, Diffusers, Return Air Grilles, Thermostats, Mechanical Units, Air Handlers, Walls, Doors/ Frames/ Hardware, Finishes, etc.), installing new exterior Windows, installing a new Entry Door, constructing new Building Interiors (Partitions, Ceilings, Doors/ Frames/ Hardware, Millwork, etc.), installing new Interior Finishes, and constructing new Building Systems (Fire Protection, Plumbing, Mechanical, Electrical, etc.).
