Project Number - 23073 SCOPE OF WORK/BACKGROUND : The project is the remodel and expansion of the kitchen into the Cafe model found at other centers. The expansion requires shifting spaces to create a new billiards room and access to the new multi-purpose room created by enclosing the steel structure on the South side of the building. New kitchen equipment and a grease intercept is required. Renovation of the Kearns Senior Center and addition of fitness space. Selective demolition of the existing kitchen and adjacent spaces to accommodate new kitchen and serving layout. Revise exterior patio to be enclosed exercise room. Update plumbing, HVAC to accommodate new uses. Existing CMU walls to be modified with new structurally reinforced openings to add new doorways. Existing floor finish throughout to be revised. New finishes and painting throughout. Salt Lake County Contracts and Procurement, on behalf of Salt Lake County Aging Services invites companies that were pre-qualified in Stage 1 to bid on this Stage 2 process for project Kearns Senior Center Kitchen Replacement located at 4851 W. 4715 S. Kearns Ut. per the attached specifications. Only those companies who were qualified to advance in Stage 1 will be allowed to bid on this Stage 2 of the process. (CRC Construction, Stallings Construction, and Wasatch West Contracting) Bonding Range $1,000,000.00 - $1,500,000.00 Each bid must be accompanied by bid security bond, issued by a surety authorized to do business in Utah, on the American Institute of Architects (AIA) form A310-2010. Penal sum of the bond shall be 5% of the amount bid for the work of the Project. Failure to include bid bond as security for acceptance of offer shall render a bid non-responsive. Bidder agrees that said amount shall be forfeited to County as liquidated damages if Bidder shall fail to execute a contract and furnish the required payment and performance bonds within ten days after Contracts and Procurement notifies the General Contractor.
