Boyd Recreational Area Passive Park Development and Related Improvements - Phase 2 Project Location: Boyd Recreational Area - located along the south side of Continental Drive just west of the intersection of Progress Avenue The Project includes the following Work: Installation of an octagonal wood truss pavilion, construction of approximately 1,200 feet of ADA compliant walking trail and associated pedestrian bridges, a fishing dock, extension of an existing retaining wall, landscaping, park sign and dedicated park plaque, fencing and other miscellaneous park amenities. Bid security in the form a Certified Check or Bid Bond shall be furnished with the bid in an amount not less than 10%. This Project falls under The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania enacted Act 127 of 2012, known as the Public Works Employment Verification Act ('the Act') which requires all public work contractors and subcontractors to utilize the Federal Government's E-Verify system to ensure that all employees performing work on public work projects are authorized to work in the United States. All Bidders are required to submit a Public Works Employment Verification Form as a precondition for the Contract Award. The estimated cost of this project is greater than Twenty-five Thousand Dollars ($25,000) and the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act shall apply. Alternate Bid Item 2 includes the construction of composite railing and deck boards on the pedestrian bridge and wetland crossing in lieu of pressure treated wooden railing and deck boards.
