The Project includes the following Work: Demolition of existing aerated grit tank, construction of electrical room addition and new grit tank and new grit removal equipment in Plant 2 Replacement of grit removal equipment in Plant 3 Cleaning of six aeration tanks and maintenance of existing diffusers Installation of launder covers on five final settling tanks Modifications to existing Chlorine Contact Tanks to include new channel for UV disinfection system Roof replacements on four buildings Miscellaneous concrete and railing repairs Associated site work, and appurtenances Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis, as indicated in the Bid Form. This project is funded through the Ohio Public Works Commission and the Water Pollution Control Loan Fund and is subject to the provisions of the funding agencies. Each Bidder must be a Bidding Documents Holder as defined in Article 1 of the Instructions to Bidders. The Work to be performed under this Contract includes, but is not limited to, constructing the Work described below and all related appurtenances: 1. Construction of a concrete grit tank at Plant 2 Grit Removal Facility. 2. Modifications of grit removal systems in Plant 2 and 3 Grit Removal Facilities, including installation of vortex grit removal equipment, dewatering classifier, grit pump, booster pump, valves, piping, and appurtenances. 3. Performing electrical and HVAC modifications within Plant 2 Grit Removal Facility. 4. Modifications to the existing Chlorine Contact Tanks to accommodate the proposed UV Disinfection System. 5. Demolition of existing chlorine equipment, piping, and appurtenances within the Chlorine and Dechlorination Buildings. 6. Perform cleaning and diffuser maintenance in Plant 2 and Plant 3 Aeration Tanks. 7. Install launder covers on existing Final Settling Tanks. 8. Repair handrail at Plant 2 East and West Final Settling Tanks. 9. Replace roofing at the existing Plant 2 and 3 Grit Removal Facilities, Chlorine Building, and Plant 2 Activated Sludge Pumping (RAS) Building 10. Miscellaneous site work including installation of sidewalks, driveways, concrete repairs, handrail repairs, pressurized pipe, electrical conduits, site grading, etc.
