As of 05/26/2023 this project was cancelled due to the fact that the project did not receive any bids for the Electrical division work. This project will be rebid. In general, the work consists of removing and replacing 64 unitized fiberglass shower surrounds with an on-site fabricated tile base, ceramic tiled walls, plumbing connections, shower controls, ceramic tile floor and base for the drying area, and painted walls and ceiling. Finish material immediately adjacent to the showers will be removed and replaced to provide a watertight environment in and around the shower enclosure. The work will be completed in two phases: Phase 1 will be July-August 2023. Phase 2 will be May-August 2024. The phased construction is detailed more completely within the plan set. NOTICE: The 2017-2019 Wisconsin State Budget (2017 Wisconsin Act 59) repealed Wisconsin's prevailing wage laws. Effective September 23, 2017, state prevailing wage requirements on state building projects no longer apply. These changes take effect for projects advertised for bid after September 23, 2017. This change does not affect the Federal Davis Bacon Act requirements. All potential bidders must be certified by DOA prior to submitting bids on state construction projects over $50,000. Bidders shall bring inadequacies, omissions or conflicts to the Architect/Engineer's attention Question Deadline 12/03/2023
