The Contractor shall furnish a combined performance and payment bond in an amount at least equal to 100 percent of the Contract Price The City of Gulf Breeze (i) will award the project to the lowest responsible and responsive bid; (ii) reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive any bid informalities, and to readvertise for bids when deemed in the best interest of the City; and (iii) hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement,Disadvantaged Business Enterprise will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, gender, religion, age, disability, marital status or national origin in consideration for an award. Bidders shall not lobby or otherwise attempt to persuade or influence City Council members, officials, or staff, on decisions to be made relating to the bid, except in public presentations requested by the City The project consists of constructing a new headworks system, biological nutrient removal process, clarifiers, filters, chlorine contact chamber, yard piping, maintenance and administrative facility, stormwater, repurposing of several existing tankages, and all incidentals for a complete and operational system. The project budget is $32 million.
