The Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board invites bids from Vendor of Records (VOR's) Prequalified General Contractors for acquiring services for the supply and labour for the New Mount Pleasant 2 Catholic Elementary School & Childcare facility, as specified in bid documents. There are no prequalified Mechanical and Electrical Contractors. Controls Sub-Contractors are prequalified. The project was tendered in Summer 2023, however, the amount of the lowest tender bid was higher than the approved project funding from the Ministry of Education. Therefore, under the Ministry's major construction approval process, school boards are required to seek approval for additional funding and a revised Approval to Proceed to re-tender this project. Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board (DPCDSB) was successful in obtaining approval for the construction of a new Mount Pleasant #2 Catholic Elementary School and child care centre as a result of the 2021-22 Capital Priorities Program and a rebuild of St. Anne Catholic Elementary School in 2022-23.
