As of August 21, 2023 a design team has been identified. The City of Tampa desires to obtain professional Roadway Engineering, Sidewalk Design, Landscape Architectural, Utility Engineering and related Services for the design of several Complete Streets, Neighborhood Improvements, and Sidewalk Projects to progress Mayor Jane Castor's T3 initiatives and the City's M.O.V.E.S. Plan. The selected firms should demonstrate the ability o incorporate planning priorities, engineering judgement, benefit-cost analysis, public engagement and industry best practices to optimize project scope and relative costs with the purpose, need and desired outcomes of the improvement. Services will include but may not be limited to: public involvement, including workshops or listening sessions; surveying; subsurface utilities exploration; landscape architecture, urban design, and arborist services; traffic analysis; traffic calming and neighborhood greenway design; roadway and drainage design; urban corridor complete streets design; safety analysis and Vision Zero Quick Build design; cycle and micro-mobility infrastructure design (trails, cycle tracks, etc.);sidewalk design; water and wastewater utility design; rigid and flexible pavement design; ADA Accessibility design; management of projects with federal and state funding such as LAP or CIGP ,coordination with other agencies and private utilities, lighting design ,review of engineering and development plans; utilities coordination; environmental permitting; signing and pavement markings; signalization and signal design; landscaping and irrigation; resilient design, such as low impact development, bioswales, rain gardens, etc.; geotechnical services; preparation of Cultural Resource Assessments and Environmental Site Assessments; construction cost estimating, preparation of construction documents for bidding; and post-design services. Multiple firms will be selected. Total estimated fee is up to $15,000,000. Services are anticipated for a period of 5 years as needed.
