NASA T-38 Hangar Hangar One and GSE Workshop Roof Replacement WORK COVERED BY CONTRACT DOCUMENTS A. The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists, but is not limited to the following: 1. This hangar will be referred to as T-38 Hangar. 2. The Roof replacement single-story Metal Hangar Building and two-story office suite, 26,730 square feet in size. 3. Roof Section A - The work includes existing metal roof panels on the single-story Hangar section to remain, removal will consist of eave trim, gutters, downspouts, etc. Minimal mechanical and electrical systems will be removed and reinstalled. 4. Roof Section A2 & A3 - The work includes complete built-up roof system removal on the two-story office suite and complete removal and reinstallation of mechanical and electrical systems currently found on the roof. 5. Roof Section A - Improvement work includes re-cover over existing metal roof panel system. The re-cover will be with 238T panels on metal clips with rigid insulation sandwiched between existing panel and new panel. Minimal interior work will be limited to portions of the interior removed due to demolition operations. 6. Roof Section A2 & A3 - The work includes completely new PVC roof system and reinstallation of mechanical and electrical systems removed during demolition operations. One HVAC unit will be replacement along with associated electrical work. 7. Exterior sitework; Minimal grading & drainage as noted on plans. 8. The Hangar will remain occupied and operational during construction. B. The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists, but is not limited to the following: 1. These Hangars will be referred to as Hangar One and GSE Workshop. 2. The roof replacement of a single-story metal building known as Hangar One. The higher section of the building houses the Hangar (20,063 SF), and the lower section houses the office suite (6,766 SF), the total square footage is 26,830. 3. Roof Section B- the replacement includes complete roof re-cover system over existing metal roof panels on the higher section of the Hangar with minimal mechanical and electrical system removal and reinstallation. 4. Roof Section B2 - The replacement includes complete roof removal of metal roof panels on the lower section of the Hangar with substantial mechanical and electrical system removal and reinstallation. Owner reserves the right to reject Contractors measurement of work-in-place that involves use of established unit prices and to have this work measured, at Owner's expense, by an independent surveyor acceptable to Contractor Manufacturers authorized Installer who is approved or licensed for installation of elastomeric sealants required for this Project It is the intent of these specifications and drawings to furnish a plumbing system, inside and outside of the building, complete, fully adjusted and ready to use. All work and material must conform to all State and Local Plumbing Codes in every respect. Furnish, deliver and install all finish hardware required for adequately and satisfactorily equipping all doors and other movable parts throughout the building whether specifically mentioned herein or not, unless specifically excluded herein below.
